FEEDLOT PROTECTION

– DIVERSIFICATION IS KEY

Diversification is the key to success, for longevity. While NetPro may have started out nearly 28 years ago as a local Stanthorpe business supplying protective netting and shade cloth structures to the horticultural sector, it was this same positive attitude and willingness to find solutions for customers that led NetPro into the field of providing shade canopies for the livestock industry.

After researching this market, particularly Beef Feedlots, and getting an understanding for what was needed to ensure animal welfare was paramount along with a practical solution both in terms of shade and design, NetPro came up with the design of a special shade cloth that allows for a significant amount of shade as well as letting rain through evenly across the entire structure so as not to accumulate and then dump through in one area which causes degradation to the pen floor.

So successful has this livestock canopy been in Australia that NetPro were engaged by JBS Feedlots in the USA to design and install shading for large feedlots that they operate in that country.

Now providing shade for many thousands of cattle across Australia and the USA, NetPro is a trusted leader in the design, supply and installation of livestock canopy.

Led by our Livestock Protection Specialist, Mick Thompson with close to 28 years experience in the protective canopy industry, the growing feedlot industry can rest assured that NetPro have the expertise, knowledge and commitment to ensure that we can supply fit for purpose quality structures with each structure specifically designed for each locality, taking into account weather factors such as angle of sun throughout the year to maximise shade availability and to move the cattle evenly around the pen during the day.

Success Stories

Sandalwood Feedlot Pty Ltd

We liked the product NetPro offered, quality was our main criteria. The option of wooden posts was an important feature because of the highly-corrosive conditions in the feedlot environment. We were able to work through the construction plan and the materials options during the quoting process. After construction was completed, we had a couple of small issues, which NetPro worked through with us – the backup service was very good, and we are really happy with the result. The most read more
